If you’re looking for a Summer experience for the kids that will create memories to last a lifetime …look no further than Indian Springs Day Camp!

Located on 46 acres of rolling countryside in Chester Springs, the Indian Springs Camp provides excellent facilities plus an eclectic program for both sunny and rainy day activities.  Boys and Girls from ages 3 to 14 can partake in some of the best recreation, fitness and learning experiences such as Hiking, Fishing, Swimming, Volleyball, Miniature Golf, Arts & Crafts and so much more.

Part of its unique charm is the Door-to-Door transportation, as well as serving up Lunch daily – so for all you busy Moms and Dads, no getting caught in morning and afternoon traffic jams or packing lunches …Indian Springs takes care of all that for you. The kids even get a snack at the end of the day, so no grumbling tummies to contend with when they arrive home!

Although it is strictly a Day Camp, Indian Springs does have Boys and Girls Cabins that act as a “Home Base” each week. Just pack what the kids will need for the week (bathing suits, towels, socks, etc.) and when the Campers arrive on Monday morning, they take their backpaks and/or suitcases and put them in their assigned cabins. Each cabin has a clothes line outside for hanging their wet bathing suits and towels – so they even learn a bit of personal responsibility (and home ec!) …a definite plus in our books! On Friday, the Counselors make sure everything is packed up and ready to be returned home. Easy Peasy!

When you sign up for Indian Springs, you have the option of 4, 5, 6, 7, or a full 8 weeks. And you can even pick and choose what weeks – they don’t necessarily have to be consecutive, which is ideal. There definitely are some families who initially opt for 4 or 5 weeks, and in typical kid fashion, the Camp has found many times that those kids have enjoyed their stay so much that they beg their parents for additional weeks so they don’t miss out on any of the fun! In such cases, Indian Springs will work with you to accommodate an extension at appropriate rates that will benefit YOU.

The Camp takes its direction from three of the finest, most experienced and engaging men we’ve ever met. Camp Director, Mike Mackrides has over 30 years of camping experience, as well as being a High School All Star Coach & co-founder of the nationally ranked Dukes Lacrosse Club – aside from being a top notch Jock, he’s one helluva nice guy.

Head Counselor, Ted Furman has been with Indian Springs for 38 years with 26 years teaching experience and 30 years of camping experience under his belt – most just call him ‘Uncle Ted’!  And Steven Smilk, also a Head Counselor, is a High School Math Teacher who received the 2015 Teacher of Excellence Award and can also boast 27 years of camping experience. Critical for the peace of mind of Parents – All of the Camp staff are required to get the Pennsylvania Criminal Background check as well as the Child Abuse Check. The Pool Attendants are Certified Lifeguards and most of the Counselors are Teachers and College students.

As a testament to the excellence of the Camp, many who apply to be Counselors attended Indian Springs Day Camp as children and are excited to pass on their training and experiences to the next generation of Indian Springers! If Medical Attention is needed, the Camp has it covered with a full time Certified Nurse on Prem – all day, every day, all summer. The grounds abound with pine groves and play areas providing a paradise of fun for all ages. Included are two Olympic size, heated swimming pools, a country house and sixteen cabins. There is also a three acre lake for boating and fishing, an outdoor theater, miniature golf course, and fields for all sports. Courts for newcombe, volleyball and kickball are also favorite playgrounds. The children will delight in our giant slide and state-of-the-art playground. And your Company would have exclusive use of the camp for the day.
